The three core elements of tree felling are:
Section felling
This involves dismantling trees in sections, often using slings and lowering ropes. There are several reasons for a tree needing section felling. It could be due to restricted space, construction work, or the tree’s health. The methods used to dismantle a tree will depend on its size, shape and health, as well as access to the tree.
Clear felling
The tree is cut at the base and falls in a controlled way. This method is not suited to areas with restricted space but is an excellent option for open land sites.
Stump grinding
A professional machine is used to shred the tree stump into tiny woodchips. This is a less intensive alternative to stump removal.
